Our last night in Thailand! We're staying at a hotel near the airport because our flight leaves at 6am and we didn't want to worry about finding 2 cabs to fit all our luggage at 4am. I don't know where all this came from - we'll definitely be paying some extra baggage fees at the airport.

Also, I chopped off about 6 inches of my hair!

We've been trying to get our favorite dinner the last few nights, but they've been closed. Very sad.

Our last Saturday in Bangkok! We walked around Lumphini Park where we saw this huge monitor lizard, it scared us and we thought it was going to eat us. Then we went to Chatuchak, the largest market in Thailand. Wikipedia says it covers over 35 acres! Good day.

After playing cards today (I'm up by 200 points again!) we tried making card houses. We didn't get very far, neither of us has steady hands or enough patience.

Som tam (spicy papaya salad) and khao niao (sticky rice), one of my faves! Usually have some chicken too, but not this time.

We tried meditating today! We had been meaning to try it since we met our Buddhist nun friend in India and finally got around to it after more than a month of being back. Also, while we trying it out (guided meditations on youtube) our Buddhist nun friend emailed us! She's in Bali now so we're hoping to see her there.

I had coffee yesterday, then felt like I was going crazy so I checked the ingredients - 58% sugar, 27% coffee creamer, 15% coffee!

This is our favorite ramen. This is a 10 pack. It's wonderful.

These little statues are all over Thailand as far as I can tell. There's usually a boy and a girl, or he/she/they are on a swing, or whistling. I think they're cute, they always look so happy.

This is what we see when we turn left out our front door. Around that corner to the right is where we throw out our trash. This is one of the places that black cat likes to hang out sometimes to scare us.

I thought it was funny that our little Tesco had these little chocolate things for Valentine's Day, they were all in German!

When we first arrived, this cat was cute and had a bow tie collar. It disappeared for awhile and when it returned it had some kind of skin disease and kept trying to get really close to us and even walked into our apartment one day! Also, it gets really loud with another cat at night sometimes.

Pretty frangipanis have been popping up around our apartment complex, they smell nice too!

Jacob and I have an ongoing gin rummy game going, we started October 7th and Jacob was winning until January 3rd, but now I've been in the lead for almost a month!

Before I got to post, Jacob got back in the lead. He's up by 100 now. Boo!
