Week 11: May 21 to May 27

Monday: walk with tana, clearing the berm of blackberry and other invasives, betty and the french bulldog, oyster and mussel harvesting/eating
Tuesday: weeding, pesto making, groceries, pizza in the pizza oven, lamb roast in the pizza oven overnight
Wednesday: jacob 4 hr kayak, cristal read and nap, lamb roast for lunch and dinner, sons of anarchy
Thursday: rainy morning, jacob skype, thai food for lunch, frisbee with betty, new farmers arrive!
Friday: gave new farmers a little tour, harvested oysters and mussels, design thinking project, charlie and tana arrive for the weekend
Saturday: ostend market, crepe and wild venison burger, nap and work, short hike, delicious spaghetti squash and other veggie dinner
Sunday: U.S. and Chile logistical planning, indian flute and tabla concert, windy fishing, ides of march

Week 10: May 14 to May 20

Monday: morning cleaning, laundry, nap and work, fish pie for dinner, country calendar and blood sweat and luxuries
Tuesday: baking, 4 wheeling, wood moving, mac n cheese w/tumato chutney
Wednesday: log moving, dahlia removing, cold and windy, sausage and mashed potatoes, ufc and cold milo
Thursday: beautiful day, fixing the fences, cristal nap jacob work, schnitzel for dinner, dory loves/scared of the cat
Friday: sheep herding with scott, lost and retreived camera case, rain, nap and work
Saturday: pig hunting at 6am!, wind and rain , rain on one side of the house, nap and work, last night in pongaroa
Sunday: morning goodbyes to the somervilles; lunch in napier; 8 hr drive to auckland; car ferry to waiheke; tasty vegetarian dinner with charlie, tana, andy, brigitt, helen

Week 9: May 7 to May 13

Monday: giant wild boar shot, sheep herding on the quad, scruffy the herding wonder dog, george the trouble maker herding dog, kids love jacob
Tuesday: jacob caught two fish!, delicious freshly caught sweet chili fish lunch, lamb chops for dinner, maths and reading hw with the kids
Wednesday: rainy, sheep shearing, puzzles with jimmy home for the day, jacob maths with xanthe, slow cooker lamb
Thursday: jodie back home, pumpkin soup for lunch, work, skype, rainy and windy
Friday: rainy, work, pongaroa school pick up, bacon and egg pie/chocolate peanut biscuits, nacho dinner
Saturday: netball with maddie lizzie and xanthe in dannevirk, met scott's parents, lunch at the duck park, back in pongaroa for scott's rugby plus after rugby dinner, STARS!
Sunday: happy mother's day!, sleep in, beach fun with the whole family, lazy afternoon, roast lamb and veggies with a pear and gooseberry crumble for dessert
